Cal West is the Contractor Presence Package on a live domain: site, domain move, Google listing, and LinkedIn on one record. Patriot is the same standard, waiting on its domain.

Cal West grades for production homebuilding: fine grade, street subgrade, import and export, erosion control. The public record did not say that as clearly as the yard did. I replaced the previous site with pages written for the way builders buy that work, then moved calwestgen.com onto them.

The first screen names the company, the work, and the phone. Further in: six scopes, the communities, the fleet, and the safety program. The homepage opens the Google listing and the LinkedIn page, so search, maps, and the company page describe one contractor.

Before

  • calwestgen.com served the previous site.
  • The scopes did not each have a page written for the buyer.
  • The Google listing and LinkedIn were not tied to the site as one record.
  • Search titles and descriptions were not held to a set length.

After

  • calwestgen.com serves the new site.
  • Six scope pages, plus projects: 3Roots, Canopy Grove, Cota Vera.
  • The Google listing and LinkedIn are linked from the homepage. One name, address, and phone.
  • Titles written to 50–60 characters. Descriptions written to 120–155.

A buyer can now see the phone, the scopes, and the projects on the site. Search, maps, and LinkedIn name the same contractor. On the on-site review, the local record and the way the site is organized moved up after the service pages and the Google link.

Frank took the time to understand how Cal West actually works, then built a website and online presence that finally reflects the company we are.

Patriot needed a public site equal to a multi-division contractor: utility civil, substations, battery storage, fire, underground, news, and a project record for SDG&E, Southern California Edison, and IID. I built that site from scratch, at a larger scale, with the same standard.

The menu is the same on every page. A check runs before anything goes out, so a missing title or a broken link does not get published. The new site is already public. patriotgen.com still shows the previous site until the domain is pointed here.
